What to Ask a Potential Real Estate Broker Prior to Listing
Your Property.
- Are you a full-time Realtor?
- What are your area and market specialization's?
- How many listings do you have? What percentages of them
sell?
- What is the market trend right now?
- Will you create an impressive high quality flyer
promoting my home? Do you have a sample?
- Do you have a marketing plan? Can I make changes to it?
- How often do you show properties to buyers?
- How many properties have you sold in the last 12 months?
- How do you locate prospective buyers?
- In what ways do you network with and encourage other
agents to sell my property?
- How can I help you help sell my property?
- Is my property going to be marketed on the Internet?
Where?
- Do you have any professional designations?
- What repairs do you recommend for this property?
- What is your open house policy?
- What is the difference between market value and marketing
value?
A real estate broker should empower you to make
decisions based on facts. They should give you the information
you need to make a good decision.
General rule of thumb:
If you would not want them
working with you at your company, don't hire them to help
you sell your house.
