MORTGAGE APPLICATION CHECKLIST


In order to provide you with the high quality service you deserve, we have developed the following checklist. Your attention to the items on this list will make the mortgage application process faster and easier. Please bring the following items to your application appointment:

  • Fully executed contract with addenda.
  • Check to the lender for your credit report and appraisal.
  • Most recent month's pay stubs.
  • Last two months of bank statements

For The Last Two Years ...

  • Present and former employers, including addresses and zip codes.
  • Complete signed federal tax returns, including W2's.
  • Other income sources, such as retirement, Social Security, note payable, etc. include copies of documentation.
  • Present and former residences, including addresses and zip codes.
  • Present and former mortgage holders and/or landlords, including addresses and zip codes.

Liabilities...

  • Auto Loans: Loan numbers, addresses and zip codes, payment amounts and balances.
  • Existing Real Estate Loan Information: Lender, address and zip code, loan number, payment amount and balance.
  • Other Installment Loans: Loan numbers, addresses and zip codes, payment amounts and balances.
  • Credit Cards: Account numbers, minimum payment amounts and balances.
  • If Divorced or Separated: Copy of separation and/or divorce decree.
  • If Renting: Copy of last 12 month's canceled checks.

Assets. . .

  • Bank Accounts: Account numbers, addresses and zip codes, balances and copies of three most recent statements.
  • Gift Funds: Name of donor, relationship, address and zip code of bank, including original gift letter, copy of bank statement, showing the check deposit and copy of funds check.
  • Stocks and Bonds: Account number, address and zip code, balance and copy of latest broker's statement.
  • Real Estate: Market value, date acquired, original cost, and/or copy of sales contract on current residence, and/or copy of current leases on investment property.
  • IRA, 401K or Otter Pension Savings Funds: Account numbers, addresses and zip codes, and copies of latest statements.
  • Automobiles: Year, make and estimated value.
  • Furniture and Personal Property: Estimated value.
  • Any Other Assets: Estimated value.

If You Are Self Employed ...

  • If Incorporated: Last two years complete, signed corporate returns.
  • If Partnership: Last two years complete, signed partnership returns, including K1's.
  • Signed year-to-date balance sheet, and profit and loss statement (current through the last quarter.)

Relocating Households ...

  • Copy of primary applicant's relocation package, buy-out offer and/or employment contract.
  • Copy of co-applicant's two most recent pay stubs.
  • Documentation of co-applicant's two-year work history. (I.e. complete tax returns, employer letter, etc.)
  • Letter from co-applicant stating employment plans/strategies.
